“Oh what are you doing now?” “Who do you think you are that you can do that?” “You are a joke!” “You are an embarrassment to the family.” “Why are you trying to tell people how to live their life?”
Yes, these are just a handful of comments of criticism I heard. It was in these times that I had the vision and I had the passion, but I had very little belief in myself. I was scared. I was scared they would be proven right. I was scared nothing would ever come of my hard work — my vision and passion.
Okay, I wasn’t just scared, I succumbed to the dread of anxiety. Yes, day in and day out — the shakes, shortness of breath, fast paced heartbeat, and exhaustion. Their words of betrayal (along with their facial expressions), were on replay in my mind. I tossed and turned at night. I felt alone. I felt foolish. But, the vision and passion were so real, there was no way I could ignore it.
Damn…Thank God for His strength and my dedication. Because, my vision and passion have arrived. I have everything I was determined to receive from following my vision and heart: T.I.M.E.
Content Creation: 4 Years of developing content. Creating systems that people know, like, and trust.
Generosity: Give Give Give. The more you help others succeed the more you succeed. Moreover, it just feels so damn great to give.
True to Self: No pride! Don’t hide your faults, don’t hide your past mistakes and failures — they make you relatable. From the words of Jack Hammill > Just Be You! Don’t change your personality to make others like you. They will love you for you. Know the truth about you, and whatever anyone says about you that goes against your beliefs about you > ignore them! As Scott Bland says, “Would you be mad if I called you a Big Red Apple? Of course not, because you know you’re not one. So, why do other names disturb you?”
Now, there are definitely more to hold tight to, but, hey, that’s a great start to share with you. Because of those top reasons my vision came to fruition, check out my publications!
